Route & General Observations

Followed standard uptrack from Tincan PL to high point on Tincan Ridgecrest at 3309ft. Skied out north side via First Drop.

Observer Comments

Observed wet snow avalanche debris on on west aspect of Tincan above Common Bowl? Appears to have been skier/snowboarder caused. Hard to say when avalanches occurred, but probably over this past weekend or on Monday?

Weather

Bluebird day with calm winds. Cumulus buildup to the south.

Snow surface

Above beaded string sta. at 2272ft to ridgetop at 3309ft encountered a 10cm-thick punchy snow surface on top of wet loose corn snow. Made for challenging turns. Punchy snow had not softened by 1600. Nice turns in loose corn below that on both south and northerly aspects.

Snowpack

No pits done, but measured the following snow depths

Flats below Tincan lot: 165cm
Beaded string sta: 195cm
