Route & General Observations

Skied 1.4mi from the Center Ridge PL to connect to the Tincan standard uptrack at 1683ft. Followed uptrack for another 0.8mi to a high pt at 2395ft near the beaded string sta.

Observer Comments

Observed no signs of instability other than some old avalanche debris and roller balls below cornice breaks on lower Tincan Ridge. Did note a glide crack on the SW aspect of Tincan Ridge (pic).

Another bluebird day. A few wispy ci clouds and light SSE winds. 41deg at 1635 at 2395ft.

Snow surface

Mushy snow surface at Center Ridge PL at 1430. At 2395ft on flat snow surface boot penetration was 30cm and ski pene 5cm. At 1645 and 2395ft N and NE aspects still crunchy. Good turns in S. aspects with 5-10cm corn on firm base. Snow going isothermal at Center Ridge PL at 1730.
