Route & General Observations

Started at the parking lot at 10:15. Low layer of fog, snowing very lightly, 5°. Fog burned off as we skinned up, bluebird day with barely any wind. Standard skin up and 3 laps of Tincan. 0° at the top, a little wind effect on the ridge.

About 1″ – 2″ of new snow overnight. Layer of knee-deep to inseam-deep powder on top of stiff punchy layer. Powder feels pretty settled, squeaky and dry, sluffing around skiiers. Kept eyes peeled for conditions noted yesterday (Observation here) but no whumphing or smoothing cracks noted.

Back at the parking lot at 3:45, thermometer said -9° (but skeptical it was actually that cold).
