Route & General Observations

Sunburst lot, up fresh skin track from lot to Hemlocks, earlier party turned back, too deep for their dog off trail. I ducked into Hemlocks (too deep for this dog too) and continued to top of Hemlocks. Easier travel under trees, but tree bombs are a threat. Decided to ski a meadow between Hemlocks. First pitch great powder turns. Pitch interrupted by small bump or bench, climbed over that and found the lower pitch had slid mid storm, possibly triggered by tree bomb. Three foot crown, maybe 30 feet wide, slid maybe 70 feet. Finished descent inside Hemlocks, had a nearby tree bomb drop with a loud thump, seemed like half a ton. Exit stage left. Thought I heard a large slide up Sunburst while I was in the woods.
