Observations

Send an avalanche, snowpack or weather observation to the avalanche specialists at the Chugach National Forest Avalanche Center. In reporting avalanche incidents we respect people's right to privacy.

The forecasters at the CNFAIC welcome all public observations regarding snow and avalanche conditions. These observations are instrumental to produce accurate avalanche advisories. To encourage more submissions from the public the Friends of the CNFAIC is offering prize incentives to people who submit these observations. Each quality observation will be one entry into a monthly drawing for a $100 gift certificate at any of the sponsor’s businesses. On April 15th we will have a grand prize drawing for a new avalanche beacon!

Must include email or phone number to be eligible for drawing prizes.
